Joining EventScotland in 2006 as Marketing Executive, Alan now holds the post of Events Marketing Manager. Alan has specific responsibility for the development and delivery of Scotland’s 2014 Ryder Cup Marketing and Sponsorship programme. In addition to this Alan also works closely with events across our portfolio to ensure Scotland is marketed both nationally and internationally as a world-leading events destination and also delivers the corporate marketing objectives of the organisation. 

Prior to joining EventScotland, Alan was a Market Co-ordinator at SCA Packaging and had responsibility for the development of marketing communication materials and market sector analysis. Alan holds an MSc in Marketing from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen and is a member of The Marketing Society of Scotland.
