Mark is responsible for delivering programmes and activity around Commonwealth Games legacy, winter festivals, food & drink and event volunteering under the remit of Special Projects.

Prior to joining EventScotland Mark was Tourism Development Manager at Liverpool City Council where he was a member of the team which delivered the successful European Capital of Culture 2008 programme and also worked on major event bidding. Previously Mark was employed at City of Edinburgh Council where he had responsibility for festival and event delivery and measurement and in tourism action planning. Mark holds an MBA from Edinburgh Napier University where he specialised in the marketing of festivals and events.
