Stuart leads our events team and is responsible for EventScotland’s major sporting events portfolio. He joined EventScotland in December 2007.  He has responsibility for managing the work of the events team, leading on our approach to all sports events, and also of leading the agency’s overall strategic approach.
Prior to EventScotland, Stuart was Performance Director with the Scottish Golf Union. In addition he has also worked with the Commonwealth Games Council for Scotland on the last four Commonwealth Games including working as Director of the Holding Camp for the Melbourne Games in 2006. He worked with the British Curling Association in the build-up to the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics and was part of the Great Britain Holding Camp team for the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Stuart was part of the Sport Advisory Group for Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games as well as being an Attaché to Team Scotland at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.Stuart leads the EventScotland our events team and is responsible for EventScotland’s major sporting events portfolio. Prior to working with EventScotland, Stuart was Performance Director with the Scottish Golf Union.
