For over 20 years the Scottish Thistle Awards have been recognised as Scotland's tourism industry's Oscars.
The 2016 National Final took place in March, where Scottish comedian Fred MacAulay revealed the champions of Scottish tourism at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC).
Awards handed out on the night included, Friendliest Pub, Most Hospitable Hotel, Best Visitor Attraction and Best Cultural Event or Festival.
The flagship tourism awards are led by several organisations, including VisitScotland, Aberdeen City and Shire Awards, Highlands & Islands Tourism Awards, Hospitality Industry Trust Scotland, Scotland Food and Drink, Scottish Licensed Trade Association, Scottish Tourism Alliance, sportscotland and Wild Scotland.
The VisitScotland Events Directorate delivers the Scottish Thistle Awards on behalf these partners.
The Scottish Thistle Awards is based on 5 regional programmes with the winners progressing to the National Final.
