Founded in 1972, Perth Festival of the Arts has, over the years, played host to many international artists. Famous names include musicians Jools Holland, Van Morrison, Joan Armatrading, Calvin Harris and Dougie Maclean and comedians Dara O Briain and Russell Howard.

The annual 11 day festival takes place this year in May and the programme has diversified to not only include great music and comedy, but also visual arts and dance.
