Charlie Higgins - Borders Book Festival 2009

The Borders Book Festival returns in 2010 with a new and exciting programme of events.  In previous years, the festival has hosted authors including Rory Bremner, Michael Palin and Ian Rankin, to name just a few.

This year’s programme includes internationally renowned authors, as well as a family book festival, writing workshops and a Schools Gala Day. Added to this, the Borders Book Festival will once again host the National Book Awards, and they are launching a new literary prize, the Walter Scott Prize, to celebrate historical fiction – the second most popular fiction genre after crime.
