CREATE Paisley and PACE Youth Theatre invite you to Write Here Write Now, a brand new young writers'festival in Paisley.
Come along to the Festival Fun Day for families, young people and children and explore all things reading and writing through taster workshops, activities and stalls. You can also find out about other opportunities for young writers. The festival offers an opportunity to explore all forms of writing from songwriting, coding and creative writing to journalism, including a Poetry Picnic from Poetry Takeaway, songwriting workshops from Paisley’s The Vegan Leather, coding workshops, BBC, Paisley Comicon, Oak Tree Arts, Renfrewshire Leisure, Abbey Books and much, much, more.
In the evening, join us for an exciting showcase of new writing developed by talented young writers with the support of industry professionals over the last few months. 16 emerging young writers aged between 12 and 21 will present their work on stage, ranging from play excerpts and monologues to poetry and songs.
