Visual & Performing Arts
|Glasgow International, the UK’s biggest platform for contemporary visual art, will be putting young people’s voices and ideas firmly at the heart of its 2018 programme. The festival will bring together a group of young people with lead artist Mick Peter and other supporting artists to create a new piece of contemporary work, encouraging and exploring innovation, conviction, critical thinking and world views beyond their own communities. The finished artwork will go on public display at a disused Gas Purifier Station in Glasgow’s east end, aiming to engage other young people in what they have got to say and how change and regeneration affects their lives.
