The annual Loopallu music festival returns to the sleepy fishing village of Ullapool on the shores of Loch Broom in North West Scotland. It may be one of the most remote festival sites in mainland Britain but it still manages to hook some brilliant bands up to its site. The festival is set against the breathtaking backdrop of the brisk Loch waters that cut the dark Scottish hills, while a host of hand-picked acts entertain the intimate 2,500 gathering. Previous acts include The View, Franz Ferdinand, Levellers, Echo and the Bunnymen, Lightning Seeds, The Undertones and The Bees. All the acts perform in a large big top tent with a wide range of market stalls showcasing locally sourced food and drink.
