West Dunbartonshire’s event will aim to locally highlight the formal handover of the Commonwealth Games flag, which symbolises the start of Glasgow’s reign as the host city of the Games in 2014. The theme of the event will focus on an eclectic mix of Sport, Music and Dance, featuring Scottish and Asian artists and athletes in order to highlight Scotland’s rich and diverse sport, music and cultural identity. Music will be provided from Channel 4’s Orange Unsigned winner Tommy Reilly, fresh from the Summer festivals, including T in the park and T4 on the beach. Glasgow based AWAZ FM DJ/MC, Dancers and live Dhol drummers will also add to the event’s live vibrant atmosphere with stunning traditional Asian dance routines and percussion. ‘The Box’ from the acclaimed ‘The Fusion and the Box’ as seen on ‘BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT,’ will provide a dance performance to remember, and in addition to this, Scottish favorites ‘Celtic Spirit,’ will be adding a true taste of Scotland with highland drums and pipes.
