The British Gas Great Scottish Swim is Scotland’s biggest outdoor swim which takes participants along a one mile route in Strathclyde Country Park, North Lanarkshire - the same venue for the 2014 Commonwealth Games Triathlon.
It is open to swimmers of all abilities and is an inspiring event to get the nation off the sofa and into the water. Whether you're taking part or spectating, you'll be able to see some of the world's top swimmers compete against each other across the same one mile course as the masses in the elite race.
Mark Foster (pictured), five time Olympian, launched this year's event on Friday 23 July in Glasgow. To read the release click here.
