Wigtown Book Festival

Wigtown Book Festival

Wigtown Book Festival packs in more than 150 events over 10 days in various venues around Scotland’s National Book Town.  For the first time the festival hosts a screenwriting course and boasts talks from top literary figures including Janice Galloway and Ian Rankin. Events take the form of debates, discussions, talks and workshops, with complimentary film and music events all combining to provide a rich and varied cultural experience for audiences.

In 2010 the event will receive support as part of Scotland's Year of Food and Drink which will see the addition of a weekend market showcasing the best in local produce.
