Dundee has a rich literary heritage – it was here that Mary Shelley first imagined Frankenstein and the hometown of AL Kennedy, one of Scotland's finest modern writers – so it was only fitting that it has an excellent literary festival to showcase local talent and bring internationally renowned authors to the city.
