Feast

FEAST is a celebration of regional Scottish food exploring the quality and diversity of Scottish produce. Supported by an impressive line up of culinary experts including Tom Kitchin (The Kitchin in Leith) and Derek Johnston (Masterchef 2008 and chef at Greywalls, East Lothian), the event includes a dinner on Friday 1st April and a food festival exporing the quality and diversity of Scottish produce on Saturday 2nd April. Top chefs will be demonstrating their signature dishes and visitors will be able to learn and enjoy the culinary creativity on show in a range of education and tasting sessions.

The FEAST dinner will be prepared by young aspiring chefs from the kitchens led by the following chefs:
•    Tom Kitchin, Michelin starred celebrity chef from The Kitchin, Leith
•    Martin Wishart from Restaurant Martin Wishart, Leith
•    Dominic Jack, from Rising Michelin Star restaurant, Edinburgh
•    Malcolm Webster, Executive chef at Sheraton Grand

•    Fiona Burrell, Founder of Edinburgh New Town Cookery School
•    Yogesh Utekar, Indian Master Chef from Mumbai
•    Roy Brett, chef proprietor of Ondine, Edinburgh
•    Derek Johnston, BBC Professional Masterchef 2008, currently at Chez Roux, Greywalls in Gullane, East Lothian

FEAST 2011 Regional dishes for tasters.
All range of delicious Regional dishes will be prepared and cooked by JEC chefs and university and college students and available to sample. Dishes will be included from the following regions: Argyll and Bute, Fife, North East, Perth , Dumfries and Galloway, East Lothian, Arran and Ayrshire, Shetland, and Borders
