The Royal Highland Show is Scotland’s annual four-day farming and countryside showcase. Held in June at the Royal Highland Centre, the event provides a market place and forum for Scottish agriculture, rural industries and outdoor pursuits. An anticipated 150,000 visitors will be in attendance with a host of activities and educational sessions taking place.
As part of the year of Active Scotland, 2011 will see a range of new activities including the expansion of the ‘have a go’ area. Show-goers will be able canoe on the showground’s lochan, scale the climbing wall, or dance in the kinetic dance studio - a unique element which demonstrates how dance energy can be converted into electrical energy.
