The 2011 Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles will see another great field assembled for a tournament in Scotland, ‘the home of golf’, with the defending champion Edoardo Molinari joining a host of international stars.
On a dramatic final day at Gleneagles in 2010, Molinari had one of the year’s best finishes when he birdied the last three holes to win the 2010 Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles, cementing his place as one of the 2010 Ryder Cup European wildcard picks.
Gleneagles has a proud history of staging major sporting events and in 2014 this reputation will be in the spotlight like never before as Gleneagles is host venue of The 2014 Ryder Cup. It will be the first time in more than four decades that the Ryder Cup has been staged in Scotland.
The 2011 Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles will again be broadcast on Sky Sports and will be played at Gleneagles on The PGA Centenary course from 25-28 August.
