The British Science Festival - Europe’s largest event of its type - is coming to Scotland in September 2012. The event will be hosted by the University of Aberdeen working in collaboration with TechFest, Scotland’s largest festival of science and technology outside Edinburgh.
It is likely that the Festival will not return to Scotland for some 12 years, making the 2012 event a unique and timely opportunity to promote Scottish innovation and research while enhancing the skills agenda across the entire spectrum of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) related areas.
The British Science Festival is Europe’s largest public science event. It is unique in that each year it travels to a different UK location, bringing the latest developments in science. In 2012 we are pleased to be bringing the Festival to Aberdeen, in partnership with the University of Aberdeen and TechFest-SetPoint. It’s the first time the Festival has been in Scotland for over a decade.
British Science Festival is included in the Year of Creative Scotland Partner Events Programme.
