The International Rugby Board has welcomed the Scottish Rugby Union’s announcement that Glasgow will host the penultimate round of the HSBC Sevens World Series.
The announcement, made in collaboration with the Scottish Parliament, Glasgow City Council and Sport Scotland, will see the Scotland Sevens move from its traditional home of Edinburgh to Scotstoun Stadium for the penultimate round of the Series on May 5-6, 2012. Last years event in Edinburgh celebrated the tournaments highest ever tickets sales wih over 26,000 people attending over the two days.
Tickets go on sale from today with a special ‘early-bird’ offer lasting until the end of the RBS 6 Nations. Prices start at only £10 for adults with all concessions at half the equivalent adult price. Tickets will be sold for particular stands and designated days, with two-day ‘weekend’ tickets also available.
