Royal National Mòd


The annual Royal National Mòd is the premier celebration of Scotland’s unique Gaelic cultural heritage. It is an internationally renowned festival of music, drama and the arts. It encompasses a diverse range of music ranging from solo singing to choral singing with competitors ranging from children to adults. Gàidhlig bàrdachd, debate and song are the essential elements of the Mòd. Highland dancing; drama and sporting events are supplemented by a lively fringe programme of traditional music in local hostelries during the Mòd.
