Nestled in the northeast corner of Scotland, between Inverness and Aberdeen, Portsoy's Scottish Traditional Boat Festival provides a holiday or short break destination with something for everyone - a real family affair. As in previous years traditional boats from far and wide will congregate in the historic harbour at Portsoy. The Festival puts a special emphasis on boat building, restoration and sailing and on associated traditional crafts including knitting, weaving and embroidery and on music and art. Attracting thousands of visitors, the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival was launched in 1994 and extols the values of taste, style, heritage and authenticity. It is a community project which continually raises the bar year after year.
