The only regular festival dedicated to poetry in Scotland, StAnza is international in outlook. Founded in 1998, it is held each March in St Andrews, Scotland’s oldest university town. The simple intention of StAnza is to celebrate poetry in all its many forms.
For 2013, StAnza will offer more than 80 events in exciting and atmospheric venues ranging from a medieval undercroft to the friendly buzzing scene in the Byre Theatre. There will be around 100 performers - world-class poets, other writers, musicians, film-makers and visual artists.
