Dating from 1864 Turriff Show has grown to become the largest two day show in Scotland, and the second largest agricultural show behind the Highland Show. The Show is going to be taking place over the same weekend as Aboyne Highland Games.
Turriff Show is part of the North East Clan Fortnight which is a unique programme of events pulled together for Homecoming Scotland, and takes place from 18th July to 3rd August.
As part of Homecoming Scotland 2009, which celebrates the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns, visitors to Turriff Show will enjoy a marquee concert by Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham on Friday 31st July and a hot air balloon launch from the main show arena. There will also be a special Homecoming Scotland Hospitality Marquee where overseas guests will be given a Turriff Show package and a complimentary glass of Glen Dronach whisky. Guests can also sign up for the Homecoming Parade around the arena on the Sunday which will be lead by the Turriff and District Pipe Band.
