Largs Viking Festival



Largs Viking Festival will contribute to local distinctiveness and boost the local economy by building on the opportunity provided by history and the Battle of Largs of 1263, presenting events that will have wide public and community appeal and cover history, education, entertainment, benevolence and the development of cultural, economic development and tourism links.
There is a living history Viking Village, Farmers Market and Craft Fayre, Continental Market and  Owl Magic throughout the Festival with individual events like aerobatic displays, on stage entertainment, Viking skirmishes and a re-enactment of the 1263 battle of Largs with burning of longship and fireworks display.

Living history Viking and Scots Villages. Markets with Craft Fayre and Owl Magic. Many free events and entertainment for the family including Spitfire/Hurricane flypast. Culminates with the Party at the Pencil organised by North Ayrshire Council with longship burning, 1263 Viking battle re-enactment and fireworks display.
