Part of Edinburgh’s Christmas, a special programme of free events celebrating St Andrew’s Day will take over St Andrew Square this year. 
Throughout the day St Andrew Square will host a diverse selection of fun, family-friendly events including live music on the main stage – The Hazey Janes and The Banjo Lounge 4 – and more off the stage including the Stockbridge Pipe Band. 
The Spiegeltent will be the venue for storytelling, including a reading from Aiden Moffat of his new children’s Book The Lavender Blue Dress. 
For those who want to get more active there will be a Scottish Dance workshop led by the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. 
And the unique rink encircling the Melville Monument will be open all day with free, ticketed spots available. You can also expect a fiery performance by Pyroceltica, a delicious Scottish market and much much more!
