Gourock Highland Games

The Gourock Highland Games attracts highland dancers from across the West of Scotland, pipe bands from all over the country and heavy weight competitors from as far afield as Poland to compete annually in front of a crowd of over 3,000.  The event, which takes place on  the second Sunday in May, is a significant cornerstone in the Scottish tourism calendar as it marks the beginning of the Highland Games Season. As well as the three Highland Games disciplines there are events and entertainment for children and a range stalls and, new for 2015, as part of Scotland’s Year of Food & Drink celebrations there will be a food & drink village offering a wide variety of local Scottish produce.
