The International Events Funding Programme is at the core of EventScotland’s work. Our EventScotland team fund major, world-class events through this programme of investment.
Internationally significant events like this raise Scotland’s profile as the perfect stage. These events also shine a spotlight on our country’s assets:

- our culture and heritage
- our natural environment
- our world-class venues
We support events though this programme by:
- working on bids with local authorities and governing bodies to secure major international events for Scotland
- communicating with event organisers for annual events where we have an established relationship
- actively looking for new and existing events to bring to Scotland for the first time.

Make a funding enquiry
Applying for funding from EventScotland is a two-step process. A funding enquiry must be submitted before any application to the fund can be made.
Access to complete a full application via the online EventScotland funding portal will be granted once your enquiry is reviewed and your event deemed eligible for consideration under this programme.
A member of the EventScotland team will share further details on the process after review of your enquiry.
Please note that there is no guarantee of funding after completion of the application process. Outcomes will be shared with applicants in due course.
