Partner Programme - Year of Young People

Could your event benefit from being part of the 2018 Year of Young People Partner Programme?

In 2018 Scotland puts its young people in the spotlight, celebrating their talents, valuing their contributions to communities and creating new opportunities for them to shine locally, nationally and globally. The Year of Young People 2018 is a year-long programme of events, activities and ideas that will give young people in Scotland the opportunity to show the world what they are made of. The amazing talents of young people will be showcased through events and media, providing opportunities to express themselves through culture, sport and other activities.

Event and festival organisers are invited to join the celebration by submitting their event to the Year of Young People Partner Programme. This is a non-funded opportunity to align your event with the year and to benefit from a listing on VisitScotland.com’s events page as well as potential inclusion in VisitScotland promotional activity. Events must be public-facing, appealing to Scots and visitors alike, take place in Scotland during 2018 and should reflect one or both of the following key themes:

Celebration: Celebrating young people, their talents and their contribution to the cultural and creative life of Scotland.

Participation: Giving young people and families with children the opportunity to engage with the activities and experiences Scotland has to offer.

Collaboration and co-production with young people is at the heart of the year. This Co-Design approach ensures that young people are a driving force in shaping, developing and implementing activities. We would like to encourage you to incorporate Co-Design into your event although this is not mandatory to be part of the partner programme. You can find further information here.

EventScotland has a range of useful free resources available to help you plan your event and get the best results. You can find more information here. The official logo, free-to-use imagery and promotional wording is available to download from visitscotland.org
