A feast of flamboyant food experts including TV celebrity and restaurant reviewer Tam Cowan, top Scottish chef John Quigley and the 'Woman Who Ate Scotland' Nell Nelson, will appear on the menu when East Renfrewshire hosts its first ever Food Festival this autumn. The festival will be served up from Saturday 12 September through to Sunday 20 September.
John Quigley and the 'Woman Who Ate Scotland' Nell Nelson are to host 'Cooks, Canapes and Cocktails Girls Night Out' on Thursday 17 September in Eastwood Park Theatre and the following night Tam Cowan takes the stage for An Audience with... evening.
The festival will culminate with a free afternoon event in Eastwood Park on Sunday 20 September. The theatre, Carmichael Hall and Eastwood House and outdoor areas of the park will all accommodate a bounteous basket of lip smacking events.
There will also be cooking workshops, tasting sessions and other food events run by local retailers and restaurants with local produce on offer to tantalise the palate. Look out for full details in the local press and on the council’s web site at www.eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk
