Golden Oldies Hockey Festival

To officially launch the 14th Golden Oldies World Hockey Festival in Edinburgh yesterday 60 teams from 14 nations took part in the Parade of Nations through Inverleith Park then onto Fettes College for the first night of celebrations.

The over 35s turned out in a variety of costumes showcasing their home cultures and along with witchcraft and wizardry for their evening in the grounds of Fettes which to some may resemble Hogwarts from the Harry Potter stories.

Monday marks the first day of play on the pitches at Peffermill, followed by a picnic day at Traquair House on Tuesday, more on-field action on Wednesday and Friday with a sightseeing day on Thursday and the Grand Finale dinner and party on Saturday evening to wrap up a wonderful week in the capital.
