The 2012 Glasgow International Comedy Festival has just come to an end and has been regarded as a success by all. The festival’s 10th year saw over 330 shows take place in 40 venues around the city – ranging from the Clyde Auditorium to Glasgow’s historic Tall Ship. Audiences were treated to performances from big names like Dara O’Briain, Sarah Millican and Rory Bremner, but the programme was also committed to showcasing up-and-coming Scottish and international talent. A variety of children’s shows and free events ensured that there was something to suit every age, taste and budget. The festival will return next year and looks forward to bringing another decade of laughs to the city.
Glasgow International Comedy Festival is included in the Year of Creative Scotland Partner Events Programme. Find out more about this special year.
