Starting on Monday 7th October we are counting down the days until the 18th MOBO Awards, which will take place at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow on 19th October. We'll look back at previous MOBO Awards shows and look at some of the performers set to wow fans this year.
Today we take a look back at MOBO's tenth show in 2011:
This year the awards returned to the SECC Arena in Glasgow, they obviously loved having us there! Alesha Dixon also must have loved working with us, as she returned to host the show, this time with US artist Jason Derulo by her side. Attendees included Wretch 32, Ms Dynamite, Professor Green, Emeli Sande, Tinchy Stryder, Katy B, Tinie Tempah, Dappy, Chipmunk, Rizzle Kicks, Dionne Bromfield and more.
Key 2011 MOBO Moments:
Boyz II Men are awarded for Outstanding Contribution to music: Three of the original members were in attendance to collect the award, and performed a medley of their hits that included 'I'll Make Love To You', 'End of the Road' and 'One Up For Love'.
Tribute to Amy Winehouse: Amy passed away that year, so in tribute to her, her god-daughter Dionne Bromfield sang a beautiful rendition of 'Love Is A Losing Game', sounding very similar to her much-missed godmother.
Jessie J sweeping the board: Jessie walked away with four awards in her first year of attendance. She took home the trophies for Best Newcomer, Best UK Act, Best Song and Best Album. Not bad at all for a first-time nominee!
