Volunteering call for major cycling events

It’s a really exciting time for cycling in Scotland just now with great events including the British National Time Trial (20 June), Road Race (23 June), MTB Championships (20/21 July)and World Junior Track Cycling Championships (7-11 August) taking place this year. Volunteers are at the heart of what makes these events so special, and there are a number of opportunities for enthusiasts to get involved.

The Time Trial will be in Stewarton, The Road Race in Glasgow City Centre and the Mountain Bike Race will be at Cathkin Braes in Glasgow. There will be further opportunities at the World Junior Track Championships which will be held at the new Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.

There is a requirement for people to act in a number of roles including; rider liaison, sign on stewards, car parking attendants, timekeeper assistants, timekeeper recorders, spectator marshalls and junction marshalls out on the road.

Potential volunteers are encouraged to complete this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1cJqmTC71ORnW8dQk728xelbwD9cJm-C75S5ixQW2I4U/viewform.
