Scottish Event Awards 2013: Finalists Revealed

Nominations for this year's Scottish Event Awards, in association with EventScotland, have now been revealed.

The awards are the only annual scheme that reward and celebrate all areas of the thriving events industry in Scotland. Now in its sixth year, The Scottish Event Awards are going from strength-to-strength with event organisers, promoters, in house-teams, venues and suppliers all entering the awards.

This year has seen an overall increase in entrants, with new events appearing across the board from all over Scotland.  Edinburgh Corn Exchange and Deadinburgh lead the way with six and five nominations each, respectively.

Paul Bush OBE, Chief Operating Officer for EventScotland said: “The Scottish Event Awards recognise the best of the industry and you can see from this year’s nominations that there is breadth and depth in the quality of event properties and organisers in Scotland just now. Events are hugely important for Scotland in attracting both domestic and international tourists, which in turn has a significant impact on our visitor economy. Scotland is the perfect stage for events, and I am looking forward to September when we will celebrate Scotland’s best events and look forward to 2014 when we welcome the world to Homecoming, the Commonwealth Games and The Ryder Cup.”

All the finalists can be viewed on the Scottish Event Awards website –

This year’s judging panel was chaired by Jan Booth from Sunbaba.  Joining Jan was Tina Benson from ‘Team Tactics’ and Clare Savory from Great Ormond Street Hospital.  The full list of Judges can be seen on our website –
