The Emirates Arena and Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome hosted the track cycling and badminton events during the Glasgow 2014 commonwealth Games making it one of the most used venues of the Games. The Velodrome, Gym and Spa reopened to the public last week with the arena opening to the public today (Monday August 25).
Councillor Archie Graham, Chair of Glasgow Life said:
“These world class venues have performed brilliantly in front of a global audience during the Commonwealth Games but are now being used again by the people of Glasgow. Some of the very best international athletes are once again making plans to compete in Glasgow and the European Open Judo Championships will be another great opportunity to see Commonwealth Games athletes in action.”
