Event professionals from across Scotland gathered yesterday evening (5th October) at the Radisson Blu hotel in Glasgow to celebrate the industry’s successes from the past year.
The Scottish Event Awards in association with EventScotland is an annual award celebration which provides the Scottish event industry a fantastic platform to demonstrate their talent and skills.
2015 World Gymnastics Championships won two awards, Sports Event of the Year and the Grand Prix award; while the People’s Choice Award was given to Highland 2015 - World Orienteering Championships and Scottish 6 Days.
Highlights included The Enchanted Forest winning the Chairman’s Award, Marketing/PR Strategy, and Large Event of the Year; Turner Prize 2015 for Exhibition of the Year; Hinterland for Cultural Event of the Year; SPECTRA Aberdeen's Festival of Light for Festival of the Year; and Longines FEI European Eventing Championship 2015 for International Event of the Year.
