Scotland will face-off against Bosnia & Herzegovina in the opening match of the Homeless World Cup 2016 in Glasgow from 10 to 16 July. They will then play Egypt, Grenada, Hong Kong and Norway in the remainder of the group stages of the tournament supported by EventScotland.

A full list of fixtures, following the draw made yesterday by Scotland national team coaches Gordon Strachan and Anna Signeul, can be found here.

It has also been confirmed that home broadcasters STV Glasgow and STV Edinburgh will will be broadcasting a number of live matches directly from George Square.

Paul Bush OBE, Director of Events for VisitScotland, which is managing the Scottish Government’s investment in the Homeless World Cup, said:

“The Homeless World Cup is set to be an incredibly important event for Scotland, inviting people to the country, who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience our warm welcome, and generating discussion about the issue of homelessness at all levels of society.

“It puts Scotland at the heart of a global movement and will ensure that the eyes of the world centre on Glasgow, which we believe will be the most inspirational place on the planet over the course of the tournament.”
