Scotland’s Boat Show 2016 (SBS16) takes place at Kip Marina this October on the 14th, 15th & 16th of October with new exhibitors and attractions all set to delight the expected 16,000 visitors.
Already the largest boat show in Scotland and the largest brokerage show in the UK, SBS16 is proud to be part of Scotland’s Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design and has received support from EventScotland, a team within VisitScotland’s Events Directorate.
Paul Bush OBE, Director of Events at VisitScotland, said: “We are delighted to be supporting Scotland’s Boat Show again this year. Scotland is the perfect stage for events, and the show will undoubtedly prove popular with visitors who will not only get to see the great array of boats of all shapes and sizes on display, but will get to experience the fantastic programme of on-water taster sessions, music, food and drink exhibitors and children’s activities on offer.”
Leading the way with new boats at SBS16, Inspiration Marine Group are building on the success of last year’s show and increasing their Hanse Yacht exhibition. The range on display will be further enhanced this year with the Scottish debut of their newest model, the Hanse 315, which is European Yacht of the Year, plus, a chance to step on board the stunning new Hanse 505.
Michael Schmidt & Partner are already predicting a record show and prompting Miles Stratton to say
“Following on from what was arguably the UK’s largest brokerage boat show in 2015, Kip Boat Sales are looking forward to an even bigger event this year. 2016’s show will be the biggest ever line-up of quality used yachts and motorboats for sale in the UK!”
Stan Prosser of Marine Sales Scotland is another major exhibitor who is expanding his already impressive display of powerboats and motor yachts this year, “Scotland’s Boat Show ranks as the most important show in the North of Britain and each year we have seen a massive increase in both visitor numbers and sales. For anyone interested in buying or selling, Kip is the place to be and this year Marine Sales Scotland will have our biggest ever display.”
On shore there are many new exhibitors situated both in the RYA Scotland Pavilion and the new ‘Get On The Water’ Pavilion which will be the complete novice’s introduction to sailing, boating and all other types of water sports.
Inside, visitors will be able to find everything they need to know to try or buy a boat, jet skis, canoe or windsurfer for the first time. Prestigious dinghy builders Hartley Boats, as well as expanding their main exhibition stand to become the biggest at SBS16, will also be exhibiting three entry level boats in the get On The Water Pavilion and offering beginners a chance to try them out or to take advantage of an exclusive show package that gives them everything from life jackets to lessons!
Elsewhere on shore there are new additions to the cars on display as, for the first time, we welcome both Lamborghini and Tesla, who join Porsche and Morgan to complete a remarkable display of iconic motor vehicles for visitors to enjoy.
Finally, Scotland’s Boat Show are delighted to welcome West College Scotland as a major partner as they present the newly expanded Scottish Food & Drink Pavilion. With unique Scottish food and drink producers in a ‘street market’ style setting, plus a live demonstration kitchen and stage area where visitors can enjoy displays from a renowned Celebrity Chef working with the Hospitality Students of West College Scotland. The identity of the mystery chef will be revealed shortly but, suffice to say, his popularity means that advance tickets for the demonstrations are expected to be highly prized!
