A Culture Strategy for Scotland Conversation proving popular at the National Events Conference

Tickets for this year’s National Events Conference are selling fast and, with less than five weeks to go, now is the time to secure your place at this flagship industry conference for Scottish event organisers.

Amongst the day’s speakers will be Leonie Bell, Head of Cultural Engagement and Culture Strategy for the Scottish Government, whose breakout session on A Culture Strategy for Scotland is proving highly popular with many delegates already signed up.

Leonie said: “I’m delighted to be attending the National Events Conference to deliver a breakout session on A Culture Strategy for Scotland. We are currently in the engagement phase of the strategy’s development so the conference is the ideal opportunity to share how the strategy is being developed as well as gather feedback and ideas from the sector that we can use to help shape the strategy’s vision and priorities.

“This is a critical piece of work we are undertaking as the strategy is an opportunity to set out the important role culture plays in Scotland’s future, and to enable everyone the opportunity to take part in or contribute to cultural life in Scotland."

The National Events Conference is taking place on Monday 27 November at the Technology & Innovation Centre, Glasgow.
