Event Tech evangelist confirmed for Scotland’s National Events Conference

The National Events Conference is delighted to have Co-founder and Editor of global online event magazine, eventindustrynews.com, and Director of Event Tech Live, Adam Parry, leading the Event Tech panel sessions at this year’s conference. This session is also supported by EventIt, Scotland’s event industry trade show.

As a technology evangelist, Adam will be joined by a panel of experts to share with delegates some of the latest technology trends and innovations impacting the events industry during the two Event Tech Live breakout sessions.

Adam said: “Technology has been the most transformative area of the events industry in the last decade. I’m delighted to be bringing a small piece of our Event Tech Live show to Scotland’s National Events Conference and to share some of the latest event technology trends and developments with delegates.

“There are two big trends impacting the industry that all event organisers need to know about. The first is centralised systems to manage the event, contractors, logistics and team communications. Our industry is notorious for relying on excel and paper, so solutions like WeTrack, which is being used by the Ryder Cup Europe, is helping to ensure that Complex Project Management is made easy.

“The second is facial recognition. The proprietary technology will be used for so much on event sites in the future, from reducing gate wait time for attendees entering an event, security, bar stocking, crowd safety, staff and contractor tracking. The list really is endless.

“I will be joined on the panel by a number of industry experts and look forward to discussing the above and much more with the Scottish events industry.”

Event Tech is one of 11 breakout sessions taking place at the National Events Conference on Monday 27 November at the Technology & Innovation Centre, Glasgow. Over 60% of conference tickets have already sold. For full information and to secure your place act now.
