EventScotland, the national events agency is set to fund the Melrose Sevens in the Scottish Borders for the third consecutive year. The world famous rugby sevens event will be funded through the National Funding Programme and will receive more than £15K towards the veterans tournament, big screens to broadcast the action, PR support and a project manager.
The sporting event attracts thousands of rugby sevens fans from around the world to the town of Melrose to compete and will this year take place on April 9th and 10th.

EventScotland has funded this event over a period of impressive and sustainable growth and 2010 will be no exception. This year’s veterans’ tournament looks set to be especially exciting and an area which we are delighted to be supporting.
