How does it work?

BusinessClub Scotland will ensure that Scotland’s event strategy provides access to markets, networking and business development opportunities for companies of all sizes across all sectors. Its aims are to:

Improve business competitiveness

Build supply chain networks

Facilitate procurement around events

Extend reach of existing networks

Provide direct business engagement and targeted networking at events to win business

Develop expertise in event management and delivery

The Club will be operated by the existing business support organisations CBI Scotland, Federation of Small Businesses, Institute of Directors, Scottish Chambers of Commerce, Scottish Council for Development & Industry and Scottish Financial Enterprise, and will also have support from public sector agencies including EventScotland.

BusinessClub Scotland aims to provide additional added value by helping more businesses engage with Scotland’s national event programme.

Business Clubs are a tried and tested method of delivering economic legacy linked to major events. Previous successful models include Business Club Australia, Manchester, Utah and the Caribbean, which have helped their members win global events contracts following the successful execution of events at home.
