SportAccord 2019

SportAccord - where sport meets

The Gold Coast located in Queensland, Australia will host the next SportAccord, taking place from 5 – 10 May 2019 at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, with EventScotland on board as Silver Partners.

The event is set to bring 1500 representatives from up to 100 countries, representing 500 different international sports federations, rights holders, organising committees, businesses and other sporting organisations to the Gold Coast.

The Convention is a unique opportunity for key decision-makers from sport and industry to meet, network and strategically shape agendas. SportAccord is incredibly valuable to Scotland enhancing its visibility among 109 international sporting federations, and rights holders and providing a platform to showcase Scotland's capacity for winning and hosting world-class sporting events.

Recent examples of major international events secured for Scotland through our involvement in SportAccord include; Glasgow 2018 European Championships, European Athletics Indoor Championships, The 2019 Solheim Cup, The 147th Open, 2020 World Men's Curling Championships, 2020 LEN European Junior Swimming and Diving Championships and UEFA EURO 2020.

SportAccord is also host to the annual general assemblies and official meetings for the event stakeholders, with representation from all the GAISF international sports federations, associates and observers in attendance.
